Waxing
The best antidote to the pain of waxing is to try and relax. According with my experience and that of many beauty practitioners when a client is tense, the follicle closes and the wax doesn’t reach the root of the hair. The more often you get a wax treatment, the more accustomed you will grow to the experience.

Soft Wax
Soft wax is also known as strip waxing because it requires a strip to remove hair from the body. In this method, a thin layer of soft wax is applied in the direction of the hair growth and then quickly taken off in the opposite direction taking the hair off with it. It’s not about how long the wax stays on the skin, it is how quickly it is taken off .
Hard Wax
Hard wax is also known as stripless wax, it is another popular waxing method for hair removal. This is because it does not require a strip to remove hair and works by hardening on your skin. Once it hardens, you can remove it with your hands, so there’s no need for waxing strips. This makes the process a lot less painful. Hard wax is applied thicker than soft wax and works great for areas with thick hair growth and is great for small sensitive areas.
How long or short should my hair be?
The hair should at least be 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch for best results. If you have coarse hair, it should be closer to 1/2 inch for the the first few waxes. Once the hair becomes finer, it can be waxed at a shorter length. It is very important to avoid shaving inbetween waxing appointments as this will interrupt the process and stimulate the hair.
How often should I be waxing?
Every four to five weeks. Regular waxing is essential . The skin will be less sensitive if waxing is done regularly. Overtime, the hair follicle will have less and less of a grip on the hair to be pulled and the hairs will come out much more easily.
Hints and Tips
♢ Your skin is often more sensitive the time near your period and waxing can be more painful than normal.
♢ Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire bikini area right before your appointment using warm and not hot water.
♢ Do not use body lotion/cream or oils onto your skin prior your waxing.
♢ You will need some hair growth for the wax to hold onto.
♢ Keep your hands away from touching freshly waxed skin, as this can encourage irritation or small pimples.
